SafeTag Kenya gives every child a wearable SOS device that connects them to a coordinated emergency response system, purpose-built for rural environments where smartphones, internet, and reliable response infrastructure don’t exist.
Current child safety solutions rely on continuous surveillance, adult supervision, or smartphones. None of these are realistic for children in low-resource environments or during real emergencies.
SafeTag Kenya is an event-based system. No continuous tracking, no surveillance. A child presses their device and the system does the rest.
Phase 1 focuses on Ikolomani Constituency with 3 schools and 500 children. A model for county-wide and national scale-up.
SafeTag Kenya was designed from the ground up around the Kenya Data Protection Act 2019, the Children's Act 2022 and international child safeguarding best practices.
